THE FIRST BORN

Have you noticed how much is done for the first born that is not done for the others? It kindly makes you feel badly when you think about it. Bobby carved Angela's portrait in wood and it is so beautiful. He intended to do the other two Grands, but his hands really bothered him about the time when he would have been carving them.

We had two baby books given to us in our baby shower for our firstborn. We proceeded to fill them both out with his information. lol When our daughter was born 20 months later, we didn't get a baby shower because we had moved to Amarillo just three weeks prior and knew hardly anyone.

In the months that followed though we improvised one of the "used" baby books for her. It makes us feel really bad when we think about it, although it doesn't mean that we love the others any less.

When I think about it in a spiritual light, I realize that we come by it naturally. Christ is the firstborn Son of God. He was with Him in the creation and came to earth in human form many years later. He is deity with God. He received lots of attention from His Father. His Father even stated in the Bible that "He is His beloved Son and...He Loves Him".

When we are obedient to His Word, we become His adopted children...but...if you think the Father loves us any less....LOOK AT THE CROSS! (Matthew 26: 36-27:55.)

He also stated: "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13

That kind of love is beyond our human comprehension and He deserves our all!
