I started to say, "Got to go wash my hair, Baby Bird"...as I walked out of the room. I got the words "Got to go..." out and then realized he isn't in his cage.

He is lying in a little cedar box on the counter. Yes, we lost our little Baby...
Bird yesterday. We don't know what was wrong with him but he was weak all day.

We were out digging a hole to bury him in and it was tough work digging that hole and Bobby, especially had to stop to catch his breath occasionally...and I thought:

Some people would just throw him in the trash and not go to all that trouble...like some do with their little ones as they are growing up, as in...neglecting to teach them obedience, respect and then when a little older leaving them in the care of others and then wonder later why they bring them so much heartache and grief.  Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

In defense of the love we had for our little birds and our little dog, I leave you with this: Proverbs 12:10: "A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel."
