HONESTY & INTEGRITY

There is a difference in being honest (never doing anything dishonest) and integrity. Integrity is a step up from honesty.  Honesty assumes...Integrity demands!  Example:

A little child goes into the store and buys 10 one cent peppermint sticks and gives the clerk a dime. When he gets out to the car he, like most little kids, pours them out and counts them. He counts 11. His mother notices and she wants to teach him integrity and although she is sure the clerk just put in an extra on purpose, she sends her little boy in to take it back. He did not steal it..that is honesty. But integrity makes a larger statement and it covers a large territory...and it is sorely missing in some adults and some leaders in our nation today.
